The city skyline, emerging stars and I decide to record frog calls

A bunch of us are going up to the Dandenongs tomorrow evening for a dusk picnic supper. I've decided to bring my frog kit to record frog calls. P is comically disgusted.

"You've got the stars, the view .... and you're going to record frog calls?!!!"

"Um. Yeah!"

I sometimes wonder how he puts up with me, and why he puts up with me.
