Did I tell you? Our Darren turned ten on Easter Monday. I rang home that night to speak to him and the first thing Mum said when she realised it was me was, "Do you know it's Darren's birthday today?!"

Turned out Darren had been a little distraught that day thinking we had forgotten his special day.

I had. But I remembered in time.

Mum said, "He's been asking all day if you had called to wish him a happy birthday."

He was excited that Denning and I called. I can tell. He rang us back himself, instead of having Mum dial the overseas codes.
